The Cricket Academy coaching programme has been created by top level ECB coaches with a focus on ecouraging young cricketers can have fun and express themselves. The camps offer an exciting cricketing experience to enable individual cricketers to develop with a smile on their face. TCA creates a learning environment where children of all abilities can further their cricketing development.
TCA Let’s Play Cricket is a full day camp focussed on learning through gameplay. The camp introduces and develops basic and intermediate cricketing concepts in a fun learning environment. Every day, every child will have the opportunity to bat, bowl and field across a variety of games, challenges. Every day includes a batting skill development game, bowling skill development game and fielding development game.
TCA Development Centre is a half day (3 hours) programme that offers children in-depth technical, tactical and skills based coaching. ECB Level 2 and 3 qualified coaches work with small groups of children to provide detailed individual feedback to drive developemnt.
Throughout the coaching programme, the Development Centre players will take part in batting, bowling and fielding technical sessions alongside game based scenario training including net practice and small sided games that challenge the indiviudal to think like they would in a game.
A combined booking on LET’S PLAY CRICKET and DEVELOPMENT CENTRES provides children with the best of both worlds, detailed coaching and fun games and challenges. The perfect option for a cricket mad child!
Children are grouped by age and ability* on every camp to ensure they are challenged correctly.
Lower Order - (5-7 year olds) – Our youngest age group focus on an introduction to cricket through fundamentals, gameplay and hand-eye coordination games.
Middle Order – (8-10 year olds) – Our middle order continue their cricket development with introductions to new skills, more technique focus and a progression in to hard ball when suitable.
Top Order – (11-14 year olds) – Our top order focus on development with a great focus on technical skills.

Activate Camps have trained managers on every site who come from a variety of different backgrounds. We actively recruit school teachers, PGCE students, qualified sports coaches and childcare professionals to take our management roles. The professional staff we employ helps us exceed the high standard that are set and expected by Ofsted. All our staff are DBS checked and we will always have at least one first aid trained staff member on site at all time.
We recognise the importance of health and safety and child welfare. We are the only provider of our kind that has training developed in partnership with Cardinus Risk Management and approved by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
