Kirkham Grammar School, founded in 1549, is an Independent Co-educational Day and Boarding School for pupils aged 3-18. The school prides itself on its warm, family atmosphere. Academic success remains at the heart of the school’s aims.
The Senior School has undergone a transformation over the last decade and now boasts a host of magnificent new facilities. These include the refurbishment of the Summerlee Hall, a multi-purpose space available for use by the whole foundation and an upgrade to the rugby pitches and sports facilities. In 2020, our excellence in Sport was acknowledged as one of only two schools in the North West of England to be ranked in the top twenty in the world. Sporting facilities are outstanding with a floodlit all weather surface and Lawrence House Pavilion.
The Junior, Infant and Pre-School is situated opposite the Senior School and Sixth Form and has a roll of 230 pupils aged from 3-11 years. As well as enjoying its own on-site state of the art facilities, it also has access to the Senior School facilities, including an Astroturf pitch and multi-purpose hall.
We believe Kirkham Grammar School exists for our children and therefore they must have the best!
