Netball Fever FAQs
Will I receive any more information after I have made a booking?
Immediately after booking you will receive a confirmation email or letter with all necessary details attached to it. There will also be a medical information form attached to this email that we ask you to fill in and bring to day one registration. We will also send you a reminder email a week to 10 days before the start of the Camp clarifying the details of the course.
Where do I drop off/pick up my child on a Camp?
Our staff will make it very clear where the registration point is at every venue. Drop off and pick up will be at this spot every day.
What times should I drop off/pick up my child on a Camp?
Our coaching hours are from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Our extra hours club runs from 8.30am to 5.30pm for a small additional charge of £6/day. If you wish to book this pelase call our office team on 01785 711 572.
Should my child bring any netball equipment?
We will provide all netball equipment, so there is no need for your child to bring anything. Players who attend all 3 days of the course get to keep their netball we provide too!
Will you provide lunch for my child?
No, please provide your daughter with a packed lunch and a refillable drinks bottle.
What should my child wear?
Each child should wear clothing appropriate for netball. i.e. t shirt, shorts, tracksuit and a good pair of trainers. Please give your child something to wear if we have wet weather, i.e. a wet weather top and/or a change of clothing.
Will you provide drinks and snacks?
We do provide drinks and a limited number of snacks but we still recommend that you send your child with their own supply.
Do you provide suncream?
No, but we recommend you send your child with their own and appropriate headwear if it is hot and bright outside. Please be aware that we cannot apply suncream to your daughter. We will remind players throughout the day to apply it but our staff cannot physically apply suncream.
Will all the coaching be done by your team of Star Visits?
At least one of our Star Visit team will coach at every Netball Fever camp. They will lead and direct the coaching with the support of other excellent netball coaches, all with netball UKCC qualifications. During a 3-day course the Star Visit will attend the camp on at least one day of each Netball Fever.
Where do you recruit your coaches from?
Our coaches are directly recruited through county netball associations and netball clubs. As a result they all hold a netball UKCC qualification and are highly skilled in coaching and dealing with children.
Do your coaches receive in-house training?
Yes, all our coaches will have been on training days and/or completed our full and comprehensive online training with us so they are fully prepared as to how each camp should be run and what to do in the event of any situation. Our in-house training is accredited by IIRSM.
What happens if it rains?
Unfortunately we always have the risk of poor weather in England! However we try and make sure it has as little impact on your child's experience with us as possible. We have indoor facilities where available and we do have wet weather contingency plans. We do ask for your patience in the event of poor weather.
If I want to know how my child is getting on at Netball Fever, what do I do?
Any parent can ring our office on 01785 711 572 and then we will contact the head coach to see how a player is getting on. Our office will then report directly back to the parent.
