Your week will begin on the Sunday evening where an introduction from the Head Coach and Pastoral Team will prepare you for the week ahead. A welcome meal will be prepared for you and our staff team will help you settle in to your accommodation.
The first coaching day of the week will include lots of assessments to understand your base level and allow our coaches to adapt the remainder of the week to best progress all participants.
To keep you on your toes during the week, you will take part in a variety of Tamsin Challenges designed by Tamsin Greenway herself.
During the week, all participants will learn valuable practical skills for both on and off the court, with a Netball Umpiring Level 1 course and First Aid qualification both on the schedule.
After dinner there will always be a social activity led by our staff that rounds of the day with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. After this our night time staff will be available should you need them and will ask you to check in to your rooms by 9pm-10pm (depending on age), lights out between 10pm-11pm (depending on age). Giving you plenty of down time to enjoy.
The crescendo of the week will be a netball tournament held on the final afternoon, looking to crown the NETBALL FEVER CHAMPIONS!
We will be staying in Marden boarding house and Woldingham School which ordinarily serves as the boarding house for Years 7 & 8 at the school. Rooms will be shared with up to 5 other participants on the course with shared bathroom facilities on each floor. There are plenty of communal areas available as well as a garden area which will be used for some workshop delivery when appropriate.
The main course content will be delivered on the outdoor netball courts, with the Sports Hall available for extreme weather. Woldingham School have 6 courts available, plenty of space for a variety of 1-on-1, small group and team coaching.
Our seasonal staff team are put through a rigorous interview and training processes to ensure that we have just the right people for the job. All staff hold an enhanced DBS. Our venue manager will be supported by a team of pastoral and first aid professionals who are equipped to deal with any eventuality on site, as well as support participants with the challenges of being away from home. All netball coaches hold netball coaching qualifications.
